Litchfield FFA Chapter is an extra curricular activities offered to Litchfield High School students enrolled in at least one agricultural education course each school year.
Middle school students in the 8th grade are also offered membership so long as they are enrolled in at least one agriculture course during the school year when offered by the middle school course schedule. Unfortunately, middle school programing may vary from year to year.
Membership in Litchfield FFA is separate from other Litchfield High School activities. FFA members pay chapter dues rather than the school district's activity fee. These are annual dues paid to the student's advisor which are used to help pay for the chapter's state and national FFA affiliation dues. Dollars collected from student annual dues also help to offset the cost of chapter activities, trips, and events.
If annual dues or other activitity costs are a hinderance of a student's ability to participate in FFA, please contact one of the FFA advisors for alterative due payment options.
Students interested should connect with one of the advisors or a chapter officer. Students will fill out a membership application and return it to one of the advisors along with the annual dues payment.
The offical FFA calendar year runs August 1st-July 31st. Most activites take place during the school year with annual school year kick-off meeting and fall contest teams forming in early September.
Students may join FFA at anytime throughout the year.
