These events are designed to help prepare students for careers in agriculture. Classroom instruction comes alive as students demonstrate their skills in a competitive setting. CDEs, LDEs, and other state events test the abilities of individuals and teams in more than 20 major areas of agricultural, food, and natural resources education.
FFA members may only compete in one team CDE, one team LDE, and one individual LDE during State Finals at the Minnesota FFA Convention.
Regional and invitational contest participation will be per descretion of the chapter advisors.
These contests are designed to promote technical careers and/or allow practice events for regional and state contest areas. Some events may offer prizes or scholarships to top ranking teams or individuals.
Members interested in building or joining a contest team should reach out to their FFA advisor for more information.
